Every year I photograph my daughters for their birthday. Certain people in our family, older and grandparent-ish want a photograph like the one above. Beautiful, looking straight on and smiling. I wanted to capture my daughter ... Nikka.
Nikka's laugh always makes me laugh!
As I was photographing my daughter I was remembering how her little hand used to wrap around my whole finger, now her little hands wrap around a cell phone mastering the art of texting!
I was remembering her little feet and her cute little toes that she now covers with purposely mis-matched socks.
Because "that's how I roll"
We took our photo session outside and amongst a sea of white flowers with purple centers, she finds the only all purple flower. That's just like her, unique and colored with such beauty!
